Maria Krpan

Has it been 2 years already? I miss this sweet lady so much. I think of her often and miss being able to call and talk to her. Gone but never forgotten.

Maria reminded me so much of my Grandmother, she was special.

I was just talking with my neighbor, Deb and we both said how the block is not the same without Mrs. Krpan here on the block. She was an amazing woman, very intelligent and kind.

I am just hearing of Maria's passing. We moved to one of the Krpan Court houses 5 years ago. We moved to Dekalb when my daughter had a cancer diagnosis Maria would always stop and ask how Stephanie was doing. I lost my son and daughter in 2020. We have my grandson every other weekend and he enjoyed seeing Mrs.Krpan. She let him ride his bike in her circular driveway and he would look for her sitting in the garage. We have lost a great neighbor and friend. Maria and her husband Milan built our home in 1989. She will be greatly missed, and there is an emptiness in my heart. The family of Gary and Deb Brubaker.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Krpan Family. Aunt Mary was a warm, compassionate, and kindhearted woman. She was the first to call me when my own mother died and she took me under her loving wing from that day forward. She was a special friend and mentor to many of us. I am missing her terribly but will never forget her. I’m sure that she is where she wants to be, in your Dad’s loving arms. May God grant you all peace during this difficult time.
