Marian Katherine Battin

Marian K. Battin passed away at The Cottages of Fox Lake, Fox Lake, Ilinois on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. She was born to William and Elizabeth Haltenhoff (Fabry) in Lake Forest, Illinois on September 14, 1919 and spent her life there until she married Robert G. Battin on March 12, 1945. They raised three children in Elmhurst, Illinois and spent their retirement years in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Marian was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob, her son, James L. Battin, daughter-in-law, Gloria Battin, her parents and siblings. She leaves behind her daughters Jane (Terry) Wolf, Janet (Warren) Schuttlefield, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and many nieces.

Marian lived to age 105 with a healthy mind and a sense of humor. She and Bob raised their childrenin a loving home and Marian was a trusted and loving partner in marriage for 56 years.

There will be a celebration of her life. Burial will be private.
