Albert J. Taylor "Al" 73 of Scotch Plains died peacefully with his family by his side. Born in NY,NY, Al lived in North Plainfield for 35 years prior to settling to Scotch Plains in 2006. He served with the United States Marine Corp during peacetime from 1954 - 1964. He was a member of the JJ Gardner Detachment, Marine Corps League and American Legion Chaumont Post No 243 of South Plainfield. After his service with his country he went to work for the GM Motor Company in Linden as an Electrician, retiring after 28 years of service as an Electrical Foreman in 1990. Al was an Avid Gardner who enjoyed tending to his garden and was a huge New York Giants Fan, and loved attending games with his good friend Paul. He is survived by his wife Theresa A. ( nee Montalbano), Son Michael and wife Lisa, daughter, Susan T and husband Ernie Hernandez. Grandchildren Meghan and Brian.Sister Vivian Taylor and husband Jeff Rodgers. Sister and Brother in Law Cathy and Jack Korch Funeral Tuesday September 20, 10 am from the Rossi Funeral Home 1937 Westfield Avenue Scotch Plains. Funeral Mass 10:30 am St.Bartholomew the Apostle Church Scotch Plains. Visitation Monday September 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad PO Box 325 Scotch Plains NJ 07076.
