Marilyn J. Rouch, age 94 of Elkhart, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 2026 at Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart. Marilyn was born on December 17, 1931 in Nappanee, IN to Carl and Marjorie (Yoder) Miller. She was a 1949 Nappanee High School graduate and lived her entire lifetime in the Elkhart County area. On April 1, 1950, Marilyn married Richard Lee Rouch. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2017. Marilyn was a long-time member of Calvary Temple in South Bend, IN. She had most recently attended Nappanee Missionary Church. Marilyn retired from CTS in Elkhart after 34 years. She loved being outdoors; she was a birdwatcher and enjoyed spending time in her garden. Marilyn loved to cook and bake; often hosting family and friends. Above all, Marilyn loved her Lord and cherished the time she spent with her family. She especially loved the time she had with her grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by 3 sons: Rick (Nancy) Rouch of Goshen, IN, Tom (Sally) Rouch of Elkhart, and Gary Rouch of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren: Jackie (Chris) Jagger of Warsaw, Jared (Brittany) Rouch of Churubusco, IN, Erica (Josh) Stevens of Nashville, TN, Renee (Fiancé Marq Hawley) Chesterfield of Goshen, Scott (Lisa) Rouch of Nappanee, Kimberly (Ross) Miller of Nappanee, Daniel (Trisha) Rouch of Nappanee, Stephanie (Michael) Essig of Ft. Myers, FL and Seth Rouch of Elkhart; 3 step grandchildren: Eric (Amy) Orr of Berne, IN, Baxter Orr of Savannah, GA, and Travis (Tonya) Givens of Elkhart; 28 great grandchildren; and 19 great great grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Rebecca Rouch; Great grandchildren: Johni Rouch and Preston Rouch. Visitation will be held from 10 am – Noon on Friday, March 6, 2026, with a funeral service starting at Noon, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Pastor Jason Rohde of Nappanee Missionary Church will officiate and burial will take place at Union Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Marilyn’s name can be given to Nappanee Missionary Church.
