As I look back to years gone by and remember Mark, I smile. He played an important role in my life when I needed a 'backbone'. Above and beyond being a prom date and boyfriend, he was my friend. His compassionate and understanding ways helped me then and for this he will always hold a special place in my heart. To all of Mark's siblings, please know that each of you is in my thoughts and prayers. God be with him 'til we meet again.

I knew Mark first from colleagues that held him in high esteem, and then I learned firsthand when I finally had the chance to work with him briefly. He was a proverbial class act, always interested in design and always striving to balance the myriad pressures every project seems to face into something wonderful. Perhaps his sense of humor made things fall into place more readily.
Condolences to his family and friends.
Sincerely,
David Varner

My Wife and I are so sad to hear of Mark's passing. I worked with Mark in the late 1990's on an office building in Orlando. Mark was truly a special client. He took me under his wing and took it upon himself to mentor me and teach me so much about the business and the proper role of an architect. His personal investment in me has strongly influenced and bettered my career path. Mark was a wonderful client and an even better friend. I will always treasure the great times and great meals we had together. We'll see you one day up in heaven my friend!

Mark and I had some incredible times together. Italy, Washington, Chicago,Toronto, Boston and many more. Always at the top of his game, very professional, yet extremely personable. I will sadly miss him. We worked together for over 20 years on many projects. Saw my first professional baseball game with my son and Mark with his son in Toronto, many moons ago. I can still hear your infectious laugh. Godspeed my friend. Randy Wilson, Toronto
