Mark you will be very missed. Growing up I really enjoyed watching you race and win at red river speedway. You and your mother and father's dedication to helping others will not be forgotten. Y'all's kindness was unparalleled. May you rest in peace on that track in heaven.

I raced with Mark for several years. He was always a fast and fair competitor. Him and his father were a great team. Very sorry for his family.

Wayne “Mark” Coleman, 54, of Wichita Falls, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born on September 17, 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Craig Wayne Coleman and Laura (Carlisle) Coleman.
Mark spent most of his life doing what he knew best, working on cars and keeping Coleman’s Auto going, the family business passed down from his grandfather and father. The shop wasn’t just his job; it was part of who he was.
Mark went to Hirschi High School, where he was a standout football player, and later found his thrill in stock car racing. He had a need for speed, a love for competition, and plenty of stories to tell. He was a friend to many and made connections wherever he went. He lived life his own way and on his own terms. While he faced hard times, he never stopped being himself. Mark was strong-willed, passionate, and unforgettable to those who knew him.
Mark is preceded in death by his father and mother, Wayne and Laura Coleman of Wichita Falls.
He is survived by his children, Sylvia Coleman, Karstin Coleman, and Kayden Stringer; his friend and mother of his children, Laiken Coleman; his sister, Mary Martinez and her husband Mike of Seymour; his aunt, Mary Giles of South Carolina; aunt, Jo Carlisle of South Carolina; his nieces, Cristina McCrary and husband Braydon, and Christina Phillips and husband Aaron; and numerous friends who loved him.
Mark will be remembered for his mechanical skills, his big personality, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
A Celebration of Mark’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Rucker, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.owewnsandbrumley.com
