Mark was one of my buddies in high school. We rode motorcycles together and went to stock car races and he watched out for me like a big brother would. I was lucky to have him in my life. Over the years when I would see him he would always want to "catch up" and he's show me pictures of his family and he was so proud. To his family and you got thru this trying time I hope the memories bring you joy and may God bring you peace. You are all in my prayers.

Mark Duane "Hoss" Evans, 68, of Perryton, Texas passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 in Perryton. A celebration of life will be held in Vici, Oklahoma at The community center on Saturday October 11th @ 11:00 A.M- 1:00 P M.
Mark was born on April 26, 1957 in Vici, Oklahoma to Lynn Everett Evans and Alta Marie Smith Evans. He attended school in Vici until he dropped out to go serve in the United States Navy for three years. April 10, 1995 he married his wife Brenda in Arnett, Oklahoma. Mark worked as a diesel mechanic for New Holland in Arnett, keeping all the farmers going. On September 27th 1995 their lives were blessed with the birth of their first child Joseph. Two years later, on June 3rd 1997 they welcomed their second child, a little girl; Stephanie. In February of 1999 they moved to Perryton were they currently reside. Mark worked for CAT for about 6 years, then worked for J-w Power where he worked until he retired. On April 29th 2016 his first angel; Rhylin came into this world. He didn't think his heart could be more full until February 1st 2018 his second angel; Bexleigh was born. He loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world. His most favorite thing to do was drive his riding lawnmower across town so he could give his angel's a ride. Mark was not only known for his mechanic skills, but also his ability to rebuild and restore rifles and pistols. If you were trying to sum up the kind of person Mark was, one of the first things would be, he was a great conversationalist! If you weren't in the mood to visit, he'd talk enough for both of you. His favorite thing to tell anyone was "You know the lady of the house is the boss!"
Mark is survived by his wife Brenda, one son, Joseph Evans and his wife Nikki of Perryton; one daughter, Stephanie Evans, also of Perryton; one stepdaughter, Reichille Buie of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; three brothers, Dale Evans of Edmond, Oklahoma, Lynn Everett Evans, Jr., of Vici, Oklahoma, and Johnny Evans of Woodward, Oklahoma; one sister, Lynnetta Hutlfess of Vici, Oklahoma; and 2 granddaughters, Rhylin “Punkineater” Evans, Bexleigh “Punkin Pie” Evans, and 2 step granddaughters Kasidy Buie, and Kilee Buie.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Alta Evans and two brothers, Charles Evans and Brent Evans.
