Sorry I did not see this sooner. Mark was a dear friend. My best friend during high school. A lot of shared memories and laughs. He will be missed.

Mark Allen FitzhughOctober 12, 1955 – February 1, 2025 With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mark Allen Fitzhugh, who departed this life on February 1, 2025, at the age of 69. Mark was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on through the family he cherished. Mark was born on October 12, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He proudly served in the United States Army for 18 and a half years before retiring. His service to his country was a testament to his courage, discipline, and unwavering sense of duty. Beyond his military career, Mark was a man of integrity who valued family above all else. Mark was a loving father to his four children: Roy Andrews and his wife, Ame; Jennifer Harp and her husband, Chris; Holly Ritchey and her husband, Daniel; and Mark A. Fitzhugh and his wife, Tina. He was a proud grandfather to his cherished grandchildren: Perryn Andrews and his wife, Sara; Mason Andrews; Ethan Andrews; Elizabeth Martin and her husband, Grayson; Emily Harp; David Ritchey; Lydia Ritchey; Andrew Fitzhugh; and Christopher Fitzhugh. Mark was previously married to Dawn Guthridge, the mother of his three youngest children, and they shared 17 years together. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Rufus Fitzhugh and Billie Carolyn Fitzhugh, as well as all of his siblings: Mike Fitzhugh, Gary Fitzhugh, David Fitzhugh, and his youngest sister, Dana Wirt. Though he was the last of his immediate family, he leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who will always remember his funny laugh and the fun times they shared with him. A private family service will be held at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he will be laid to rest with the honor he so greatly deserves. Mark’s love, wisdom, and laughter will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
