Mark Gerster, 61, Kerrick, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his home. He was born on June 22, 1963 in St. Paul to Patrick and Carole Gerster. Mark grew up in Mahtomedi, MN. On August 3, 1984, Mark married Michelle Trumble in White Bear Lake. He was a self-taught Chef. In 2001, Mark moved up north and lived in Sturgeon Lake, Askov, and Kerrick. He and Michelle owned the Partridge Cafe, Askov in the early 2000’s and later purchased the North Pine Saloon, Kerrick in 2022 where he proudly put his Chef skills to work. Mark loved to shoot pool, take road trips with nothing but the woods on each side and an open road ahead of him, gardening, reading, and writing. He enjoyed his small hobby farm and truly loved his animals.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Michelle; 6 children: Tabatha (Trent) Givens; Brandon (Brittany) Gerster; BrandyMay “May” (Anthony) Herring; Gabrielle “Guppy” (Adam) Soderlund; Leah Gerster, and Devin (Kylie Sycks) Gerster; 10 grandchildren plus one on the way: Natalie, Emmett, Henry, Lucy, Isaac, Dorothy, Leonard, Ember, Zoey, and Abby; parents: Pat & Carole Gerster; sister: Jennifer Gerster; brother; Jason Gerster; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 3-5 pm with a Time of Sharing at 5 pm. Following the time of sharing, Mark will be placed into the funeral coach and a funeral procession will be led to the North Pine Saloon where Mark’s family and friends can share stories and toast to a life well lived.
