Deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers for all of you

Prayers to all of Mark’s family and friends. I was fortunate to have worked with Mark and had many conversations with him.

Mark was my uncle and although we haven’t seen him in many years we a saddened by his passing and have so many found memories of him from our childhood. We will miss you and love you always!

Knew Mark from working at UPS and he was also our delivery driver. I was sorry to hear of his passing, my deepest sympathy he was a great man and gone way too soon.

Sherilyn and Family, I am so sorry to hear about Mark. I am thinking of all of you and know he’s watching over all of you. Share your memories about him often he will always be with you ❤

I worked with Mark at UPS and we went to the same high school, he was also my delivery driver. He was a great person and he will be dearly missed. My deepest condolences to Marks family.

Very many fond memories growing up with my brother throughout the years.He was a big brother i looked up to
and he will be missed.

Mark's Obituary

 

Mark Daniel Mesch, 62, of Sioux Falls, passed away September 20, 2025, at the Veteran's Hospital Community Living Center surrounded by his loving family after a 6 year journey with Parkinsons with Lewey Body Dementia disease. Mark was born October 8, 1962 in Olathe, Kansas.

At the age of 18 Mark enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was an active duty member from1982 to 1984.  He valued this service highly and later served in the Army Reserves from 1984 to 1987.

Mark was a package delivery driver for UPS for 31 years and retired in 2020. Mark enjoyed fishing, collecting antique toys, watching movies and spending time with his dogs. Him and his wife Sherilyn loved to travel.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sherilyn Mesch; his sister's Belinda (Stephen) Broadus, Kimberly Hegdahl (Steve), and brother Brian Mesch. His sister-in-law's Debra (Charles) Nelson, Stacy (Todd) Tweedt and brother-in-law Marty (Liann Hanson) Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Gladys Mesch and his mother in-law Dorothy Williams.

Mark will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all that knew him.

A Visitation will be held, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 5:00 -7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home.  A private family interment will take place at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Sioux Falls Humane Society.
