Dear Alma and family
I'm sorry for being late with this
But,I was try ing to think of all the time that Mark or Mr Carl sometimes He like to be call.If there were important people around!I ever had a problem with that.

Dear Alma and family.My son Ted and I were so sorry to hear of Marks passing.He was always a very fair and considerate person to work with and one of my favorite visits while on the road.The Travelodge was the first service agreement I signed[in your kitchen] shortly after starting CSE in 1974.Rob,you might remember the four of us playing golf together at your country club...Ted Christiansen... Controls Service and Engr.Co Inc.

Carl family, you have our deepest symphty. I worked for Mark, many moons ago. Mom worked for Carl's when the store was on the squre in Chambersburg. They were good people. Mark will be missed.

Dear family, I had the pleasure of working with Mark on the Franklin Co Travel Bureau MANY years ago. He was such a great guy with lots of good ideas for the county! We missed him and know he will direct everyone in the right way at heaven's gates. Our sincerest condolences to you all.

Mark Philip's Obituary

Mark Philip Carl Sr., 89, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL.Mr. Carl was born April 10, 1921 in Littlestown, PA to the late Hobart McKinley Carl and Lula Augusta (Rout) Carl; and moved to Lake Wales from Chambersburg, PA 6 years ago. He graduated from Chambersburg High School Class of 1939 and worked at the Chambersburg Engineering Company.  He worked in the family owned supermarket business called Carl's Markets from 1945-1967.  They were sold to Weis Markets and he worked for them from  1967-1972.  He was owner/ operator of the Chambersburg Travelodge Motel and Restaurant from 1972-1998. He was a Lifetime member of the Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, enjoyed golf, active in the boy scouts, in recent years he volunteered at the Lake Wales Public Library. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales.Mr. Carl was preceded in death by his son, John Robert Carl, sister, Janet Carl Ritterand a grandson, Mark John Carl.He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Alma Louise Carl, two daughters, Julie Ann Weed and her husband Bill of Haines City, FL, Jean Louise Howell and her husband Dick of Lake Wales, FL, two sons, Mark Philip Carl Jr. and his wife Sharon of Lake Wales, FL, Robert Preston Carl and his wife Jennifer of Dallas, TX, ten grandchildren, Amy Anderson(her husband Tom),Benjamin Howell(his wife Devyn), Michael Woolford, Lucas Howell, Jason Carl( his wife Nicole), Elise Howell, Jenna Carl, Jillian Carl, Jordan Carl, four grandchildren, Emily, Ryan and Julia Anderson and Ellis Lee Howell.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales with Rev. Jeff Kantz officiating. Full military honors and committal service will at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time.  Donations may be made in his honor to Good Shepherd Hospice, The Salvation Army or the Lake Wales Public Library.
