We offer our condolences to the family of Markeveon Jarice Lemond Brown. Markeveon, 25, of Belzoni, Mississippi, transitioned very unexpectedly, October 18, 2025, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola, Mississippi. 

The public visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Belzoni, MS.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 noon at New Hope M.B. Church, Belzoni, MS.  

The burial will be at New Mt Hebron M.B. Church Cemetery, Belzoni, MS.

Officiating: Rev. Burl Holmes, Jr.

Markeveon is survived by his mother, Jackie Brown, grandmother, Irene Brown, children, Lauryn Brown and Makenna Brown, siblings, Rufus Brown, Myuki Brown, Kasha Brown and Xzavious Brown, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
