Not sure what to say?

John, Amanda and all the family, we are so sorry for your loss. She was a delightful friend to me, never failing to make me laugh at her marvelous dry sense of humor. Thinking of you each. Big hugs.

John and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Prayers of peace and comfort for you all.

Marsha's Obituary

Marsha Carol Padron of Donna, TX passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at her home.  Marsha was born on July 25, 1950, to Andrew Jackson and Marie Baugess Jordan in Ashland, KY. She is survived by her husband Juan Padron of Blanco and Donna, TX, son Eric (Alicia) McPeek of Willis, TX, daughter Amanda (Michael) McPeek-Duvall of Spring, TX, grandchildren Paige (John) McPeek-Winston and Drake McPeek, and brother Bruce (Janie) Jordan of Lexington, KY.

She was married to J. Earl McPeek 1967 to 1990. They moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1969 and lived there for 14 years.

Mrs. Padron graduated from Boyd County High School (BCHS) in 1968. Her passions throughout her life were singing and travel. From a young age she enjoyed singing, first at home and in church, then in school. She participated in choirs at every age and was always selected to perform soprano solos. In high school Marsha sang in the chorus and was chosen as a member of the Kentucky All State Choir her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years in Louisville, KY. As a Junior she joined the BCHS yearbook staff and served as Editor-in-Chief as a Senior.

Marsha lived in Kentucky, Florida, New Jersey, Iowa, and Texas in her lifetime. She worked in a variety of positions, including Ashland Oil, CBS and Wm. C. Brown College Publishing, travel agent, and Sprechur & Schuh and The American Productivity and Quality Center.

In the 1970’s Marsha sang in the West Lauderdale Baptist Church adult choir in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was a frequent soloist. She loved to sing to her children, Eric and Amanda, beginning with lullabies when they were young. She was the children’s music director for Vacation Bible School for several years at West Lauderdale Baptist Church.

Marsha’s love for travel began as a child with annual family vacations to Florida for sightseeing and going to the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and stopping in Tampa and Winter Haven to visit the families of her dad’s sisters Betty and Mary and other sites along the way.

As a young woman she was always planning her next trip. In the 1980’s and 1990’s, Marsha traveled with her mother to Europe several times, often with the American Leadership Study Group. While living in Dubuque, IA in the 1980’s, she was hired by House of Travel and went to Chicago to be trained and certified as a travel agent.

Marsha married Juan Padron in 1992. Together they traveled extensively and both of them thoroughly enjoyed their ocean cruise adventures. The love of travel was in Marsha’s blood; she could talk for hours with anyone who inquired about any place she had been worldwide!

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 25, 2025 at Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship, 321 Old River Crossing, Johnson City, TX 78636.
