Dear John, Vy and Family, were sorry to hear of Aunt Marta's passing and I will always hold dear my arrival at Marta's home, after being picked up from the coach station by cousin Regina, and meeting Marta and Benny for the first time, thanks the great welcome I received, all celebrated with Benny's high balls and breakfast, many thanks to all my family in the States for the memories of my time in the with you all, and Dad, Pranas, also told me how he cherished his time spent with you all....

Marta's Obituary

Marta Brazauskas, 95, of Suffield, CT, beloved wife of the late Boleslovas Brazauskas, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at The Suffield House in Suffield, CT. Marta was born in Klaipeda, Lithuania and was the daughter of the late Pranas and Eliza (Mierwaldt) Kavaliauskas.

Marta is survived by her son Gunther John Kava and wife Violetta, her two daughters, Ruta Stalgaitis and husband Thomas, and Regina Phelps, grandchildren, Laura Yusinas and husband Scott and great granddaughter Maggie, Alexandra Hunt and her husband Steven, Jr., April Phelps, Mathew Phelps and Jordon Phelps, and by her sister Gertrude Kruzinauskas and several nieces and nephews. Marta was predeceased by her brothers Wilhelm and Frank, her sisters Marie and Ruth and her good friend Benny Rackaitis.

Funeral Services will be at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT, on Monday October 31, 2022. Calling hours are 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
