Funeral services for Martha Joyce Ramsey, 93 of Cookeville, TN will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Algood City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday from 2:00pm till time of service at 3:00pm. Bro. David Flatt will officiate at the service.
Martha passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Ascension Saint Thomas in McMinnville, TN.
Martha Joyce Ramsey was born on February 22, 1932, in Overton County, TN to the late Bedford and Beulah Mae Hogue. She lived her life as a servant of God. Martha was a strong Christian woman and was a member of Whitson’s Chapel Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: John, Joe, Billy, Marvin McClure, and sisters: Jean Rayburg Hogue and Essie.
Martha is survived by her husband: James W. Ramsey, Jr., three daughters & sons-in-law: Becky (Van) Heiss, Nelda (Phillip) Moss, and Tammy (Darrell) Bohannon.
4 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
