Newbury, NH-Martin V. Sheary,83, of Pine Street, died Sunday, October 31, 2021.
He was born in Worcester, MA on July 19, 1938 the son of John and Mildred (Farrell) Sheary.
He spent his younger years in Worcester graduating from St. Peter's High School and then moved to Cornish, NH before relocating to Newbury, NH in 2003. He served in the US Army and then went to work for New England Electric System and retired after 30 years of service.
Martin was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in New London and was a member of the Men's Club. He was also a member of the Newbury Beautification Committee and the Newbury Historical Society. After retirement Martin enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Carol Mial and his brother, John Sheary. Martin is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gay (Rogers) Shea Sheary of Newbury, NH; two sons, Patrick Sheary of Washington, DC and Daniel Sheary of Charleston, WV; two stepchildren, Christopher Shea of Saco, ME and Carolyn Brickman of Worcester, MA; and four grandchildren, Connor Shea, Kiera Shea, Abigayle Brickman and Hunter Brickman and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 10:30-12:30 and a Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Fatima, 724 Main Street, New London, NH. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, MA on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.
Memorial contribuitons may be made to the charity of one's choice.
