Minton

Jonesville-  Mr. Marty Lee Minton, 52, of Cedarbrook Road passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at  his home.  He was born April 6, 1966 in Surry County to Junior and Alma Jean Holcomb Minton.  Mr. Minton was a member of Beulahland Baptist Church, was a great mechanic, and loved to help others.  He spent his life caring and supporting his family, and was a loving devoted husband, son, father, father-in-law, brother, and paw paw.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Minton and by his son, Bryan Shane Minton.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 33 years, Torria Minton, of the home; his daughter, Brittany Minton and husband, William Hall; daughter-in-law, Katrina Minton; granddaughter, Alexandria Ila Faith Minton; sisters, Tammy (David) Nance, Rita Swaim; father-in-law, Garland Bowman; mother-in-law, Glenda Shore; 2 nieces; 3 nephews; and several friends.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at Beulahland Baptist Church.  His funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM Thursday in Beulahland Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Casstevens and Rev. Mike Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Minton Family.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com
