Mary Alice McDuffie, 82, of New Eagle, died Thursday, September 25, 2025 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born July 18, 1943 in Panama City, Florida, a daughter of James and Mildred Fine Miller.
In her younger years, Mary Alice worked at Anna's Kitchen in Monongahela as a waitress. She was employed at The Twist in New Eagle for 13 years, and later retired from the dietary and laundry departments at Mon Valley Hospital after 16 years.
Mary Alice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela.
She is survived by her son, James L. McDuffie; three grandsons, William H. Wellington, III, Thorton R. Wellington, Jonnie William McDuffie; sister, Billie Jim Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jonnie Ray McDuffie; two sons, William H. Wellington II, Jonnie Ray McDuffie, Jr.; sister, Alexandria Mallory; and two half-sisters, Alma Comer and Ruth Ann Pemberton.
Services and interment for Mrs. McDuffie were private. She was laid to rest in the Monongahela Cemetery.
