Mary Smith Persinger Clements

Mary Smith Persinger Clements, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on May 29, 1948, in Marks, Mississippi, to the late Tom Victor Smith and Sarah Hutchson Smith.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her son, David Persinger (Ruth) of Teasdale, Mississippi; her daughter, Shelley Russell (Stephen) of Sardis, Mississippi; one sister, Barbara Smith Russell; one brother, Gary Smith; and six grandchildren: Chris Persinger, Montana Persinger, Victor Persinger, Taylor Hayward, Tyler Hayward, and John Michael Darby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Clements, and her parents, Tom Victor Smith and Sarah Hutchson Smith.

Visitation will be held at Womble Funeral Home on January 20, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.

Funeral services will follow at 12:00 P.M. at Womble Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery in Teasdale, Mississippi
