Obituary
Mary Ann Dorsey was born to the union of Alex Bolds and Molly Walker-Bolds on August 27, 1941 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
She accepted God in her life as a little girl where she sung in the choir, attended Sunday school and church activities with her parents.
As a teenager, she moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where she resided and was a longtime resident. She joined First Sixth Baptist Church where she sung in the choir and joined the Mission Group and became a prayer warrior; striving to be a good person with strong values and a kind heart, later she joined the Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church with all of her family and had been a member until her untimely passing.
She married Willie James Dorsey, Sr. on April 8, 1963 and together they raised eleven children. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother, and a cherished friend, to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, strength and warmth touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Grandma, this is truly a moment that I seem to can’t grasp just yet. I try to find the words but my mind goes blank. I know you’re happy because you’re finally home and that gives me peace. I will miss you dearly and I thank you for being the pioneer of the many generations that have come from you. You were here to see your great great grandchildren. That is a blessing and I’m so grateful to have had you as my great grandmother. I will continue to keep your memory alive. I love you always.
