Obituary

Mary Ann Dorsey was born to the union of Alex Bolds and Molly Walker-Bolds on August 27, 1941 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
She accepted God in her life as a little girl where she sung in the choir, attended Sunday school and church activities with her parents.
As a teenager, she moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where she resided and was a longtime resident. She joined First Sixth Baptist Church where she sung in the choir and joined the Mission Group and became a prayer warrior; striving to be a good person with strong values and a kind heart, later she joined the Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church with all of her family and had been a member until her untimely passing.
She married Willie James Dorsey, Sr. on April 8, 1963 and together they raised eleven children. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother, and a cherished friend, to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, strength and warmth touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Bolds and Molly Walker-Bolds; husband, Willie James Dorsey, Sr.; daughter, Molly Bolds Edwards; sons, Leonard Ray Guidry and Willie James Dorsey, Jr; grandsons, Cedric Ozane and Lawrence Edwards; sister, Thelma Dennis Conley; and brother, Edward Bolds.
Mary’s memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Calvin Van Bolds, Sr., Myrna Bolds, Denise Guidry, all of Port Arthur, Texas, Christopher Dorsey, Baytown, Texas, Spencer Dorsey (Felicia), Gwendolyn Dorsey (Clarence), Angela Dorsey (Ellis), all of Port Arthur, Texas, Cynthia Johnson (Willie) of Beaumont, Texas, Robert Earl Dorsey (Shannon) of Baytown, Texas;
