I graduated with Mary and we were friends all through high school. She was a very sweet and kind person. Fortunately she always came to the class reunions we had every 5 years so I got to see her at those. It was always fun to catch up. She will be missed by many.

I remember Mary when she was a clerk at the drugstore in Onalaska. She was one of the most cordial persons I have ever met. Mary could strike up a conversation with anyone who walked into that place, immediately making them feel at ease and respected, like an old friend. I'll remember Mary with stacks of new calendars on her counter at the front of the store. One other very important thing I can tell you about Mary: She loved her hometown of Blair, Wisconsin.
