I'll miss you more than words, Grandma! I'll miss our visits, chats and especially your homemade cookies that you pulled from your freezer just for me every time I came to visit! I love you and will miss you terribly. Rest in peace, Grandma!

Mary's Obituary

Mary J. (Kepple) Kriebel, 90 of Callensburg, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at her home of natural causes.

She was born on December 17, 1934, in East Brady, she was the daughter of Stanley and Margaret (Flick) Kepple.

Mary married Ivan Kriebel on October 26, 1953 and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2011.

Mrs. Kriebel worked for many years at both Wolf's KOA in Wentling's Corners and Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo.

In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and caring for her flowers; growing a jungle of Cosmos and Sunflowers exceeding 10 ft tall, and the visits with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Mrs. Kriebel attended the Callensburg Church of God.

Mary is survived by two daughters; Linda Pennington of Bruin, and Christine Kriebel of Callensburg; two sons; John Kriebel and his wife, Pat, of Cleveland, Ohio, and David Kriebel and his wife, Janet, of Callensburg, two brothers; Arnold Kepple of Callensburg and Ronald Kepple of Shepherdstown, WV., nine grandchildren; Rylie Lieberum, Matt Lieberum, Angie Fulmer, Terri Pears, Shawn Pennington, Carolyn Wright, Jennifer Ferringer, Steve Kriebel and Ruben Dunkle, twelve great-grandchildren, one son- in- law, Jeff Lieberum of Emlenton, and one sister- in- law, Lois Kepple of Sharon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Bonnie Lieberum, a granddaughter, Pam Lieberum, an infant sister, Ruth, a sister, Martha Kepple; a brother, Paul Kepple, a son-in-law, Jeff Pennington and a sister-in-law, Judy Kepple.

Mary’s family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday March 9, 2025 at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. A funeral service will be held on Monday March 10, 2025 at the Callensburg Church of God in Callensburg. Additional viewing will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM with the service beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Larry Rapp, Pastor of Callensburg Church of God, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Sligo.
