So sorry for your loss. I can still see Mary Lou and Virginia and others sitting on Virginia's porch or sitting around the table and visiting and talking. Sad that they are gone from here but I bet they are having a grand reunion in heaven...prayers

Funeral Service Broadcast for Mary Lou Sharp
Mary Louise Hughes Sharp, 89, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, at her home in Lawrenceburg. She was born in Stamping Ground, KY, on July 24, 1935, to the late George Hughes and Helen Covington Hughes.
Mary Lou was a member of First Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. She graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing and went on to work as a registered nurse at the VA Hospital in Lexington, where she served with care and dedication until her retirement. Known for her warm hospitality, Mary Lou loved gathering people at her home, often hosting parties just for the joy of it. She cherished her family and friends, finding great happiness in cooking and baking for them. A passionate sports fan, she especially enjoyed cheering on the University of Kentucky.
Along with her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Sharp; her previous husband and the father of Mark & Beverly, Earl “Buddy” Bryant; and her sister, Ann Langley.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Mark Bryant (wife Jean) of Harrodsburg and Beverly Arthur (husband Richard) of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren, Clay and Kate Bryant; and a sister, Sallie Osborne.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 23, and again on Tuesday, May 27, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Bryant, Dean Osborne, Berry Young, Josh Sharp, David Langley, and Doug Langley.
Memorial contributions in honor of Mary Lou are suggested to First Baptist Church, 111 North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 or the Anderson Humane Society, P.O. Box 494, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
