Aunt Mary was an extraordinary woman. I have very fond memories of her throughout my life. Her voice and laugh, and the way she spoke was both calming and peaceful. Love you aunt Mary.

Mary Lou “Mimi” Wigham, 75, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born on December 17, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Mary Lou was the cherished daughter of Mary Ellen (Tharp) Eggleston and Dale Eggleston Sr.
Mimi was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met. Married to the love of her life, Ronald Haskell Wigham, she built a home full of laughter, love, and faith. Together they raised two sons, Rusty and Mark Wigham, whom she adored beyond measure.
Mary Lou graduated from Capitol Hill High School and took some college courses at Rose State College. She worked for Tinker Air Force Base as a clerk for several years. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church.
Mary Lou’s compassion and generosity touched everyone she met. Her humble spirit, quick wit, sassy nature and radiant smile (with a twinkle in her eye) made her a joy to be around. Despite visible scars from a childhood house explosion/fire that took the life of her loving mother and baby brother Jimmy, Mimi’s inner light always outshone everything else. She adored spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found peace in her simple passions - crafting, ceramics, painting, making jewelry, and watching the birds from the comfort of their self-built log home. She had a huge love for music, while working at Sheens Drug Store next to the local recording studio in Capitol Hill, she met and became friends with Conway Twitty, Porter Wagner, Loretta Lynn, Wanda Jackson and Sammi Smith, who decided to go by the stage name of “Sammi” that Mary Lou suggested she use (after Mary Lou’s brother Samuel). Mary Lou’s favorite singer was the King of Rock in Roll, Elvis Presley!
She was preceded in death by her parents; Mary Ellen Eggleston and Dale Eggleston Sr,; in-laws, Claude and Ruby Wigham; brothers, Dale Jr and Jimmy Eggleston; brother and sister in law, Butch and Jerri English.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Wigham; two sons, Rusty Wigham and wife Melba; Mark Wigham and wife Michelle, all of Blanchard; grandchildren, Brandi, Brittany, Christopher, Ashley and Rose. Great-grandchildren, Isabella, River, Felicity Lou, Rory, Marlee, and Emery; brothers, Samuel and John; sisters, Janet and Sheri, and many other loved ones and friends.
