Not sure what to say?

My wife Jeanne (Walter) and I were sorry to see the passing sway of our Latin teacher from Valley Forge High School. She was an outstanding teacher and we learned as much about English as we did Latin. Our big regret was not checking up on her to side her week in the past.

I certainly remember Mary and her great smile from Padua Franciscan High School. Our sons were students there and my husband, Joe, and I were involved in many activities there; now our grandchildren are alumni and some yet to come. Mary and Father Clarence were a great team, gave their best and will be remembered fondly. Condolences to the all the Chambers family.

Latin wasn't a dead language in Miss Chambers' class. Of all the classes I ever took, including in college, her Latin class was the single most useful of them all. No field trips for us, but I'll never forget Miss Chambers. Bonus est. Jim Harlan, VF Class of '66

I fondly remember Miss Chambers from Latin class at Valley Forge. The trip to Italy (1970) was very memorable. God bless
VF class of ‘73

My condolences to Miss Chambers family. I was one of her students at Valley Forge from 1968 to 1970. We made the trip to Rome in 1970 with other students and attended Easter Mass at the Vatican. I always remembered Christmas season where she would have students form groups and sing Christmas Carols. I can still sing "Jingle Bells" in Latin.

Requiescat in pace,
