Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry for your loss! She surely will be missed! She was so funny that's for sure! I really enjoyed working with her at Pine County. I looked up to her that's for sure. If I ever needed help I'd go to her and if she couldn't help me she would find someone who could.

Oh my Mary Ramona. She was one of the funniest, sassiest, most sarcastic people I had the joy of working with at Big Doc's. She hated when we called her Hot Mary and Mary Ramona. But she in turn nicknamed me Heathen. No matter how stressful and busy it got she made it fun, she made us laugh. I will be forever grateful for her friendship. It's not goodbye my Mary Ramona, it's see you later ❣

So very sorry for your loss

I’ll miss you Mar Bear, and your sense of humor that contagious laugh. Thoughts & Prayers

Mary was an incredibly good human. Love and hugs to all who love her.

My deepest condolences to Mary's family and friends. Having worked with Mary at the county, I frequently saw her care and consideration for people in Pine County. Especially the children. From a dispatcher's perspective I admired her very much. She is now one of the Lords angels. Just as she was on earth working to help and protect those in need. She will be missed by many. Thank you Lord for bringing Mary into our lives. We were all blessed for it. Prayers and sympathy for all.

So sorry to hear about your loss of Mary. My thoughts and prayers are with the Patterson family. Mary was a childhood friend and will never be forgotten. God bless you all.

I can not believe this you we one of my favorite people to work for the county I am in mental health treatment are I would be there I am sorry I can't be but I will be thinking about you and am sorry to your family for the loss rip mary

I met Mary through a mutual friend. I instantly knew, this girl had character, passion, a contagious laugh, sense of humor and a love for life. Twice a year, a group of woman who worked in law enforcement, law and social work would gather for the weekend. We would eat lots, laugh tons, and four wheel. It was our get away in the middle of the woods. As we grew older and life got busy we lost touch. The memories of these times will always be remembered and treasured. See you in the future...

MARY's Obituary

Mary Patterson, 53, Sturgeon Lake, formerly of Rutledge, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday, October 10, 2025 at her home.  She was born on April 15, 1972 in Moose Lake to David and Janet (Beehler) Patterson.  Mary grew up in Rutledge and graduated from Willow River High School in 1990.  While growing up, Mary babysat for many kids in the Rutledge area.  This babysitting began a lifelong devotion of caring for people and led her into attaining her bachelor’s degree in social work at Moorhead State University.  After college, Mary worked for 18 years as a Social Worker in Pine County.  She continued caring for people of different generations through various other jobs and helped elderly neighbors with daily tasks.  Mary had a huge heart and thought of others often while advocating for their needs.  Mary loved to read and had a large personal library that increased her vocabulary exponentially. Nature allured Mary with her love of water, the sun, and gardening of flowers whether it be in her own flower beds or nearby neighbors.  She had a passion for thrifting which led to gifting.  Her sense of humor sassed with sarcasm, led to her uniqueness that will long be remembered.
