Was sorry to hear about the lost of Mary Patterson. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her brother and all her former co-workers, and her extended family. I really enjoyed working with her.

So sorry for the loss of Mary . I worked with her for many years in retail. She was fun to talk to a sweet person.

Mary's Obituary

Mary A. Patterson, 80, passed away on January 3, 2026 after a sudden decline in her health.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Terry Bradley officiating.

Mrs. Patterson was born a triplet on January 31, 1945 in Quanah, Texas to Kerwyn and Erma Faye McSpadden. After graduating from Quanah High School, she relocated to Wichita Falls, attended Midwestern State University and worked in retail management for over 30 years. She retired in 2003.

In her lifetime, Mary was known for her devotion to family and friends; always putting others before herself. She loved spending quality time with family, shopping, fishing and enjoyed reading. Time spent with her was always a place of laughter and love. Mary’s caring heart was evident to all who knew her. Until the end, Mary found a way to smile and laugh, maintained her witty sense of humor and expressed love for her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Allen; and husband, Pat Patterson.

Survivors are her brother, David McSpadden; niece, Amy and spouse; great-nephew, Austin and spouse; great- niece, Heather and spouse, and several loving friends.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal.” Mary Patterson was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
