Not sure what to say?

Pat and Jimmy, I am sorry to hear of Mary Rita's death. I had hoped to have been able to concelebrate Mary Rita's funeral but that became impossible. I have Mass at St. Ignatius West Blvd in the morning at 11 and I will remember her then. My condolences to the Fallon and the Stringer families. God bless

Condolences to Laura, Anne & Maureen and all the family on the loss of your beloved Mum & Grandma. Her suffering is now over and she is reunited her beloved Jim. Fond memories of her when she visited Ireland and meeting her in Cleveland. God Bless.

What a grand lady indeed. Please accept our family's deepest sympathy to the entire family. May she rest in peace along with her beloved husband and all members of her family who have gone before her in faith. I always found her to be so very sweet and kind and truly interested in whatever was going on in your life, with your family; so humble and modest about whatever she was dealing with - turning the focus on whomever she was talking with at the time. What a legacy she leaves in her...

I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
Mary Rita was my neighbor, my friend, confidant ans second home mom. Like an angel she watched over me.
I carry her heart, I carry it in mine.
" And in one of those stars I Shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night...You___only you___,will have stars that can laugh.
"And when you sorrow is comforted (ti me soothes all sorrows) you will will...

Judy and I send condolences to the Stringer family on the loss of their sister. We both grew up with Jim and I worked for your father Mark many years ago in Lakewood. We will both pray for your sister and your family as you face the difficult days ahead. Safe home to Mary.

What a beautiful Obituary and amazing sounding family. May perpetual Light shine upon her.

MARY RITA's Obituary

MARY RITA FALLON (nee Stringer)  beloved wife of James J. Fallon (deceased) of 60 years. Loving mother to Laura Fibbi (Terry), Maureen Adler (Chuck) and Anne Carney (Pat). Devoted ‘Gram’ to Meghan, Erin, Kathleen, Mary Grace, Maura, Eileen, Bridget, Patrick, Clare and Brendan. Adoring Great Gram to Matthew, Maeve, Grace and Nora. Daughter of Mark and Anne Stringer (deceased), sister to Jerry, Anne Therese (deceased), Patricia, Jim and Ursula (deceased), loving sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many, especially Mary Rita’s neighbor and friend Barb Boymer.

Mary Rita was a proud Lakewood girl. She graduated from St. James School and Lourdes Academy, of which she could still proudly sing ‘most’ of her Alma Mater. She worked for many years at Our Lady of the Angels school. She was a dedicated and active member of her parish, St. Marks. Mary Rita was always the first to lend a helping hand and quick to  ask “what can I get you?”. She was constantly ‘on the go’. Something Mary Rita loved to do was to get outside for a walk. She loved walking through her neighborhood, whether it was to see neighbors, get to mass, the store or even walking all the way to Lakewood Hospital to deliver communion. Mom never stopped. She constantly gave of herself. She was always present at each and every event for her children and then for all of her grandchildren, who loved going to Gram’s house because they knew she’d always make them feel welcomed, loved and special. She was our biggest fan.

Passed away October 18, 2025. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 25, St. Mark Church (15800 Montrose Ave.) at 10:00 AM. where friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:00-9:50 A.M. in the church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Joseph Academy InspireSJA Capital Campaign, https://www.sja1890.org/giving/capital-campaign or to St. Mark School. In Mary Rita’s memory, take a walk and enjoy the good that today offers. It’s there, just take the time to notice.
