Everyone’s Nana.I’m thankful that I got to be part of her life and build some great memories. Easter Sunday’s at her house, tamale and flauta extraordinaire and the immense love she had for her family. It was an honor to know her and she will be missed. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary L. Rodriquez.
Born on June 12, 1943, Mary passed away on February 17, 2026. She was the daughter of Salvador Leyvas Sr. and Elvira Medina Leyvas and was raised in Tempe, Arizona/Mickey Mouse.
Mary is survived by her children: Richard Rodriquez Jr. (Darla), Diane Robles (Ralph Sr.), Christopher Rodriquez Sr., and Michael Rodriquez Sr. (Sylvia). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her siblings: Esther Gomez, Salvador Leyvas Jr., Ruben Leyvas, Yolanda Villa, Sylvia Anaya, and John Leyvas. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Rodriquez Sr., and her sister, Theresa Mejia.
Mary dedicated over 10 years to Motorola Semiconductor, serving in various positions throughout the plant. Her life was rooted in her faith and her commitment to the Church. She found great comfort and peace through her involvement with numerous Catholic charities.
She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. While we are devastated by her loss, we take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with our father and her sister, and that one day we will all be together again.
