Mary "Mut" Ursin Scales, age 84 was born on March 18, 1941 in New Orleans, LA, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her uncle Edward Woodard, Jr., her sister Deborah Warren, her brothers Kelvin and Royal Ursin, Jr. and Edward Randolph. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Scales, her son Dwayne Russ, her parents Royal Ursin, Sr., and Agnes Reaux, her grandparents Edward and Alberta Woodard, Sr., her brothers Malcolm and Reginald Ursin, and Tyrone Randolph, he sisters Barbara Badie, Jocelyn Andrews, and Linda Ursin, and her uncles Alfred and Eugene Woodard. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Second Morning Star Baptist Church, 2616 St. Andrew Street, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 10:00 a.m.  Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003.
