Not sure what to say?

How fortunate I was to share time while stationed at Offutt in Omaha with this most amazing man; SO brilliant, kind, witty, loving, and completely devoted to his wonderful family, friends, hometown. The world was a better place with Matt in it. Exist in peace now, Matt. You live on in my heart, now and forever.

Matt was a great Air Force friend back in the early 1980's, when we were stationed at Hahn Air Base, Germany. Not just another friend, but truly one of the best kind of friends one could ever hope for. He was always such a spunky, funny guy, and wise beyond his years. He was an avid music & movie fan back in those days, and we spent many hours enjoying his extensive collection. Matt was the kind of friend you never forget, regardless of the distance that comes between you, or the many years...

Eternal peace for Matt. Fearless. God bless you all.

Matt once said to me, “Have a little faith in humanity.” He was too good for this world right now. And yet, in times like these, we need people like him more than ever. I miss you dearly buddy. So many memories: the literally thousands of Seinfeld quotes we shared, a Rockies game in the snow, you getting cursed out by an elderly Avs fan at the Pepsi Center after the Devils beat the Avs in game one of the Stanley Cup finals, and the countless outings in LowDo. Matt had this rare ability to...

Matt and I crossed paths in Omaha, NE and then again in Denver, CO. He was one of the kindest, most intelligent humans I ever met. In the early days, Matt, Lorie, and I hung out for days at a time in his tiny apartment in Omaha. I will always feel fortunate to have been even a small part of Matt's world. Love and Miss you, Matt!

Here are a few more pictures I was able to locate on our epic trip to Sweden and the Netherlands while we were in the USAF circa 1983/1984. Matt, Mike and myself (Angelo) Great memories of our times together.
