MATTHEW J. SOSKA

AUGUST 4, 1936 - FEBRUARY 8, 2026

MATTHEW J. SOSKA "Matt" /  “Sonny” passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026 with his family by his side.  Beloved husband of the late Beverly T. Soska. Loving father of Theresa M. of Moyock, NC, Matthew J., Jr. (Sarah) of Dover, MA, Thomas M. (Jennifer) of Hamilton, VA and Sean P. of Ashburn, VA. Loving pop-pop of Olivia (Erin), Benjamin (McKenzie), Jackson, Caroline, Zachary, Ellie and Lillian; and great-grandfather of Auden and Afton. Dear brother of Michael and Donna, and the late Marcella Kanya, Catherine Padla, Daniel Soska and Anthony Soska. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Matt was a systems analyst by trade, something he became interested in while in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed bowling, coin collecting, crabbing and fishing. He would vacation in Wildwood, NJ and Nuevo Vallarta Mexico as much as he could, and even more so after he retired from Macmillan Book Publishing Company. He loved spending time with his grandchildren – attending their sporting events, taking them on vacation, visiting them while they were away at college, and making the holidays extra special with the most perfect Christmas Tree. Matt doted on his two Maltese dogs Kona and Snowball as they were his constant companions later in life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing from 9:00 A.M. -10:45 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 A.M. at St. Agnes-St. John Nepomucene Church, 319 Brown Street, Phila. PA 19123. Internment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
