Matthew's Obituary

Matthew Dale Weicken, 45, was born on March 30, 1980, to Dale Ray and Christie Ann (Garr) Weicken in Sedalia, Missouri. Matt passed away on January 20, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Matt was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend. He proudly served as a U.S. Marine and carried that sense of duty and integrity into his everyday life. On June 10, 2023, he married the love of his life, Krystal, in Purcell, OK. He loved her unconditionally and put her first every day. They were best friends, always looked forward to coming home to each other, and went on many great adventures. They loved spending time together. Not even a tornado could keep them from getting married.

Matt was a caring and dedicated father to his son, Keegan, born in 2006. He taught his son how to be a man by leading through example and consistency. Matt worked as a truck driver in the oil and gas industry, providing for his family with pride.

He saw the good in everyone, pushed others to be better, and inspired those around him simply by how he lived. Known for a level of patience that was truly unmatched, Matt was compassionate, gentle, and slow to anger. He loved life and people fully and without pretense. He was steady, patient, and kind, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Matt is preceded in death by his grandfather Carl Weicken; father Dale Ray Weicken; and his beloved great dane Memphis.

He is survived by his wife Krystal Dawn Weicken of the Home; son Keegan Dale Weicken of the Home; bonus son Christopher Joel (C.J.) Smith; mother Chris Tucker and dad Charles David Tucker; grandparents James and wife Vilma Garr and Angeline Weicken; brothers Michael and wife Nikki Weicken, Aaron and wife Laura Morgan; in-laws Olen and wife Jeannie Hicks; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard with family present to greet guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
