Praying for the Family

Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this memorial time for Mattie. She will be missed by everyone that knew her and her lifetime work for community. Know that thoughts and prayers are with her family and close friends.

Sending my love and prayers to the family. What a privilege to have known Mattie. She took me in like a daughter when I moved to Lakeside Ave. She sat me with her at church and taught me how to be a proper Methodist. Mattie gave me so much advice and shared so much wisdom with me. She scolded me a few times but in the most loving way. And she always encouraged me and was proud of my accomplishments. I always told her that I wanted to grow up to be like her.
Mattie touched so many lives...
