Maureen's Obituary

A Nursing Staff Administrator at Sheridan Manor Nursing Home for over 30 years, Maureen M. Wielinski, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital, at the age of 69.

A doting grandma to her grandchildren, Maureen enjoyed spending time with them whenever they would get together. Besides being the "Greatest Grandma in the World" she was also an excellent Baker. Her Cookies, especially her Christmas cookies, were the most asked-for treat that everyone wanted to receive. She would spend endless hours, baking for all of her family and friends. When she had "Me" time, she could always be found with her iPad, playing Candy Crush or other similar phone games, which kept her busy, exercising her mind.

Maureen was married to her best friend and the love of her life, her beloved husband, Edward S. Wielinski.

She was the devoted mother of Sherri (Jeremy) Schiske, Jennifer (Philip) Bauer, and Ashley (Joshua) Baczkiewicz; and the loving grandmother of Philip Bauer, Jr., Emily Bauer, and Theodore Baczkiewicz.

Born on Monday, June 7th, 1954, she was the loving daughter of Albert and late Maureen Burns.

The dearest sister of Diana (Phillip) Odrobina, Bonny (Daniel) Lotz, Patrick Burns, and Barbara Burns, and was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 3-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem).

No services or calling hours are being held on Monday.

Due to the upcoming Eclipse, the family asks that relatives and friends join them and assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew Church, located at Crocker and Reiman Sts., in Sloan, New York, on TUESDAY Morning, April 9, 2024, at 10 AM. Please assemble at the Church.

Interment will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York.

The family appreciates your prayers and concerns and would like to thank you for your support.
