I'm so sad to hear this. Melissa and I went to the same church as kids and then attended Manchester Central High School and were in the same graduating class. Even though we were not real close, she was always so nice to me. I ran into her like twenty years ago at a bar in Manchester and it was like no time had passed! Her parents were always so nice too and knew my parents from church. Very sorry to hear that she passed away so young!

I will always remember Melissa as an intelligent, caring and bright spirit. She was always ready with a smile (her smile was so beautiful) and a laugh and was so devoted to her students. Whenever I picture her, it is with that beautiful toothy smile, strawberry blonde hair, freckles and laughter. My deepest condolences to Kathy and James and Matthew. She will forever be remembered with admiration and a smile.

I was totally devastated when I saw that she had passed. She taught me in 4th grade at Northwest, and she was always the person I could turn to whenever I needed help. She was supportive, kind, loving, caring, and was always there for me. She taught me what it takes to be a good student. I misbehaved a lot, but she always had a way to put up with me; little did I know, the help she provided, would support me in the long run. She was an amazing teacher, and is now in good hands. May she rest...

The world definitely lost one of the good ones. my daughter had her 2 yrs ago, she was such an incredible teacher especially when we were all navigating coming out of covid remote learning. She was very organized, and stern but always fair! She set so many appropriate expectations to boost students confidence, and self-worth. Thank you Melissa for guiding not only my daughter but also me. Rest your beautiful soul.
