Melvin Eugene Snider, age 87 of Hooks, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in a local hospital. Mr. Snider was born February 20, 1931 in Maud, Texas. He was a retired Mechanic, United States Army Veteran, member of the First Baptist Church, Hooks and is preceded in death by his wife, Ann.

 

Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Melvin Jr. and Chonge Snider of Humble, Texas, Gary Snider of Hooks, Texas, his grandchildren, Gary Snider, Jr., Susie, Susan, Chad and Melissa, 4 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 12, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas with Rev. Grant Sutton and Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Maud, Texas under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
