Melynda Ann McClelland of Avon, IN, passed away on July 19th at the age of 50. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, deep love for animals, and a lifelong passion for reading. A true lover of nature, she found peace and joy outdoors, whether walking among the trees, enjoying the sunlight on her face, or listening to the quiet rhythm of the natural world.
She is survived by her father, Gordon Smith (Melanie) and mother, Eloise Rayer, her brother, Anthony Smith, who will cherish her memory always.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gordon and Dorothy Smith, and by two beloved dogs, Kiah and Daisy, who brought her comfort, loyalty, and unconditional love throughout their lives.
Melynda touched the lives of many through her gentle heart, thoughtful conversations, and quiet strength. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all those who knew her.
In keeping with her love for animals, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local animal shelter or humane society in her honor as well as the Heart Association.
