Mercedes Prieto

Mercedes Prieto, born September 23, 1931, in Olaya Herrera, Tolima-Colombia went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2025, at the age of 94. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Rafael Sanchez, Luis Sanchez, and Benjamin Sanchez; her sisters, Teresa Quinonez, and Damiana Rojas; her grandchildren, Melissa Garcia, Daniel Prieto, Andrew Reed, and Stephen Salazar; her son, Victor Prieto; and daughter, Edith Maria Huitz. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Damian A. Prieto; her daughters, Lucy Reed, Mary Garcia, Nancy Salazar, Myriam Prieto, and Nhora Prieto; her sons, Cesar Prieto, Heriberto Prieto, Hector Prieto, and Jose Prieto; her sister, Maria Sanchez; 26 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
