Mr. Battersby taught me at OLL. Though now in my 60's he'll always be Mr. Battersby to me. The class of 1975 recently had our 50th anniversary of graduation from Lourdes, and Michael was always brought up. I remember Michael as quite, kind and professional. He took on a tough role as a teacher, and he took that responsibility seriously. Thank you, Mr. Battersby, thank you and Rest In Peace.

Michael A. Battersby passed away November 17, 2025. He was born September 11, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio to John A. and Elizabeth Battersby. He was preceded in death by his brother John M. Battersby and his sister Betty A. Battersby, Patricia S. And nephew Aaron Battersby. Michael is survived by his cousin Barbara A. Rosenberger, niece Kathy Maggard, nephew Sean Battersby and several great-nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his pet, Lady.
A gathering of friends will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 9:30AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM, both at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 3450 Lumardo Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
