Michael Dan Bean

Michael Dan Bean, age 67 passed away on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born on April 19, 1958, in Putnam County, TN to the late Wilson and Anna Pearl Bean of the Shipley Community.

He is survived by a sister Geneva Bryant and four brothers David, Paul, Howard, and Ralph Bean. Plus, of Nieces and Nephews.  In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife Patricia Bean.

He was a graduate of Cookeville Central High School and a former employee of Wilson Sporting Goods, Russell Stovers and UCHRA.

Michael was a very likable man with many friends. He had a love of Elvis Presley and loved to imitate him. He was called the ‘Elvis Bean”.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation and Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, Mach 5, 2026 at Whitson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00pm, with the service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at the Shipley Cemetery.
