Not sure what to say?

Thank you for fifty years of friendship.
A better neighbor is not possible. There are so many things we will miss. One is hearing your motorcycle start and drive away for your morning coffee clutch. Hearing about your wonderful grandkids and accomplishments from both you and Carol. All of us Singing margaritaville...spraying the pecan trees. These things may seem small to some but we had so much fun. The thing we will miss most your presence. We will miss our good friend and...

I always enjoyed visiting with Mike. He was thrilled to know that I had finally bought a motorcycle. Sandy loved him when he was working at the school.

Carol & family, Paul & I are so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing! He was a great guy! Our love & prayers are with you and your family in the days ahead.

Offering our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.

Michael's Obituary

Michael Lynn Bond was born on June 4, 1951, in Oklahoma City to Cledith William and Jolene Agnus Bond (Guest). Mike passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Mike graduated from Newcastle High School in 1969 and even though he started out as a Racer, he was a Blanchard Lion. Mike met the love of his life, Carol Elaine Lemons, at Bailey’s Dairy Queen and married her on July 21, 1973. Together, they raised two children and cherished the joy of two grandchildren, whom he loved watching play softball. He also loved his miniature schnauzer, Maggie and his granddog, Koda. A man of many passions, Mike was a fan of OSU football, loved the teams his granddaughters played softball for, even team roped with his brother-in-law, Gary when they were younger, and enjoyed deer hunting with Matt and close friends. He and Carol enjoyed trips to Tunica and oldies concerts at Riverwind. His love for cars and motorcycles was unmatched— he restored many cars over the years, and his favorite was a 1970 Mustang Fastback that he and Matt worked on together, rebuilt and sold numerous vintage Volkswagen Beetles, and proudly owned a ’66 Mustang hardtop when he was younger. Mike built cars from the ground up, painting, rebuilding engines, and turning them back into near original condition. A Harley-Davidson rider at heart, he enjoyed cruising around town, riding in poker runs and took a memorable trip to Sturgis with friends Terry Kordeliski, Richard Rozelle, Ralph Wall, and Jimmy Raley. In his younger years, he would be found going to rodeos with Gary, Mandi, and Rendi, found thrills in street racing, swap meets, and car shows, and dedicated 30 years of service to General Motors. After retiring from GM, he worked for many years as a bus driver and custodian for Blanchard Public Schools. Wherever his kids or grandkids were doing something, he was there rooting them on. Above all, Mike will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his craftsmanship, and the joy he found in life’s adventures.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jimmy Bond; and a special uncle E.T. Guest. He is survived by his wife of the home; son Matthew Lee Bond of Blanchard; daughter Mandi Lyn and Kirt Schneringer of Blanchard; grandchildren Avery and husband Dylan Hawkins of Mustang, Lynlee Schneringer of Blanchard; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
