Michael Lee Buerger

Michael Lee Buerger, 77, of  Spearman, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Hansford County Hospital in Spearman.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Union Church in Spearman at 12:00 noon.

Michael was born to Richard Buerger and Ruth Meyer Buerger on March 22,1948 in Greensburg, Indiana.  Michael and Pam Whitley were married on June 9,1973 in Chula Vista California.  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spearman.

Michael served in the Navy for 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer and was a Viet Nam Veteran.  He was an Associate Professor at the City College in San Diego, California for 30 years as a master machinist.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Buerger and his parents.

Michael is survived by his wife, Pamela, daughters, Melissa Ortiz and Leslie Stapleman both of Spearman. Sister, Carole Brock and brother, Mark Buerger.  He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Family suggests memorials in memory of Michael be to the Parkinson Association.
