Michael Tuan Bui
Michael Tuan Bui, age 42, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Michael was born on April 26, 1977, in Jasper, Alabama. Michael was a kind and warm hearted person who enjoyed making others laugh, and he touched many lives. He had a passion for his work in law enforcement and at Thomas Bui & Sons. He was part owner of Thomas Bui & Sons, a Police Officer at the Lewisville, Arkansas Police Department, a former Sergeant at the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, and a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mi Thi Le, grandfather, Cay Dinh Bui and uncle, Sang Van Nguyen. Survivors include his mother and father, Thomas and Mary Bui of Texarkana, Arkansas, son, Lucas Bui of Texarkana, Arkansas, one brother, sister-in-law and two nieces, Nelson, Angie, Jade, and Jewel Bui of Texarkana, Arkansas, one sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Aaron Creech of Dallas, Texas, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Visitation will be on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. with Rosary services to follow at 7 P.M. at the Texarkana Funeral Home (4801 Parkway Dr, Texarkana, AR). Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at St. Edwards Catholic Church (407 Beech St, Texarkana, AR) with Rev. James West, Rev. Dominique Do Duy Nho, Rev. Louis Pham Hu Do, and Rev. Jack Thach Vu officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

Michael,
Sometimes in life there are losses. Losses that can never really be replaced. Losing you has been a hard thing that Ive had to grieve. I wasnt ready to say goodbye. None of us were prepared to bury a brother in blue. Your friendship was a brotherhood. We were not ready to let you leave. I would give anything for just one more day, just one more second to talk to you. But Ive learned to trust in unconditional love. Because the one profound thing about death is that love never dies. Some bonds cannot be broken. Because even though youre not physically here, your heart is it lives on within others. They carry your heart inside them. We carry it on days when we discover a memory at work. Your family carries it on days when beauty unfolds in the most unexpected places. Others carry it on days when they find courage to heal and to grow. All carry it with us always. Someday we will meet again and we will no longer be separated by time or space. But until that day, We will find comfort in knowing that you are still with us. Your heart safely tucked inside each family and friend. Some hearts just belong together and nothing will ever change that. We loved you then. We love you now. Always did. Always will. Forever in our mind. Forever in our heart. We will carry you. Spread those wings and FLY! Thank you for always being you.

Michael, or Bui as I referred to him as, was my friend. And I don't say that lightly. He was someone who I knew deep down inside was my true friend. It hurts my soul to have to write this today, but it's also a great honor. Mr Bui and I met at a time in my life where I too was battling a battle not everyone knew about. Mr bui wasthe one person who didn't jugde me for it but who's soul purpose was to let me know that he's for me and not against me as where anyone else who seen me struggling would either be little me or shame me. But Michael was there to encourage me to do better. He was a God send at times God knew I needed a trusting and compassionate Friend in my times of darkness and orrow. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Bui. Words can't describe the way I feel About his passing . He's a perfect example of what a beautiful soul who's jobs to make sure everyone around him gets taken care of first, but often we forget to take care of us. With so much laid upon my heart right now, I'm going to end this with God bless his family in this time of grief and in need of comfort. And may you rest in peace Michael Bui

My sincerest condolences for all the Bui family. I've known this family since they first moved to Texarkana. I admired very much Michael's grandparent's Cay Dinh Bui and Mi Thi Le (who passed in 2016 & 2014). I think they are among the very bravest people I've ever met. Our most sincere sympathy to the Bui family. I have known Thomas & Mary since the 1970s and saw the boys grow up learning from Thomas. They were so precious. I later met Michael when he was a deputy and he was such a nice young man.

Officer Bui was kind enough to bring my brother to see our mother when she was dying. He was so gentle with my mom and so kind to my brother when he did not have to be.
