He will surely be missed . Mike was a great man he was like my second dad growing up . When my mom passed he was right there at the funeral for me n it meant a lot . My prayers are with y'all at this time. I love each n everyone of y'all

Fel was always ready with a smile. One of the nicest people I've known. Whenever we came down and ran into him he made us feel like we were HOME. He'll be truly missed. Our deepest sympathies for his family.

I always respected the hell out of Mike because anytime he saw me anywhere,he always made it a point to speak to me. Wether it was on a dirt road or in the store. Not once did ever see me and get all figity and head for the nearest exit. I really appreciated that. Rip Mike

Michael's Obituary

Michael Renzy Chastain, affectionately known as "Fel" or "Mikey", passed away on January 10, 2026 at the age of 75. Born on October 3, 1950 in Holly Grove, AR, Michael spent his formative years there, graduating from Holly Grove High School.

Michael dedicated two decades of his professional life to Helena Chemical, where he was not only a respected employee but also a cherished member of the Helena Chemical family. His work there was a significant part of his life, reflecting his commitment and dedication to his role.

Michael was a passionate outdoorsman who loved deer hunting. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid fan of the Razorbacks, sharing many games and moments with his family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Clyde Chastain, and brothers, Ray Chastain and Boyce Chastain. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Patricia Chastain; son, Carl Harlin and wife, Michelle, of New Albany, MS; daughter, Lori Bailey and husband, Tim, of Crockett's Bluff; grandchildren, Erin Harlin, Thomas Coleman, Cade Harlin, and Renzy Bailey; bonus grandchildren, Madison Skinner, Eli Skinner, and Jaclyn Bailey; brother, Thomas Chastain and wife, Barbara, of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Mary Ann Miller of Beebe and Mazie Gail Parker and husband, Clyde, of Ashdown; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael's life was a testament to his values of faith, family, and friendship. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
