Michael Harold Delp, Sr. (Daddy) age 50 pf Connelly Springs, North Carolina passed away Saturday August 23, 2025.
Michael was born on February 15, 1975 in Morganton, North Carolina.
Michael’s life was a testimony of love, devotion and compassion to his family.
The beloved son of Harold and Iza D. Delp of Hickory, North Carolina. He is now reunited with his parents, sister and loving family that went before him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his wife of 31 years Stephanie Delp of Hildebran (Connelly Springs) and their three children Brandi Thompson and Cody of Granite Falls, Michael, Jr. and Kindell; Robin Delp and honorary sons Dakota Greene and Aaron Canipe.
He is also a cherished memory for his brother Collin Delp and wife Melissa Delp and their children Faith and Corbin Delp. His love shines brightly in the eyes of his granddaughter Cassi Thompson.
A hard-working family man, Michael showed great pride and love for his family. His service of helping others even with just a listening ear knew no bounds. His motto in life was to give your all and then give a little more. He was always willing to lend a hand even when he was going through a tough time himself. His fire lives on in his memory and those left to remember him by.
Michael will be laid to rest by his family at Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will then receive visitors Saturday August 30th for a Celebration of Life Service at Great Hope Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Virginia at 1:00 PM.
