Rochester, NH: Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. 70, died Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a period of failing health.Michael was born in Lowell, MA on April 9, 1945, the son Michael and Irene (Dodge) Flaherty and had been a resident of Rochester since 1979. Prior to his retirement he worked for the Massachusetts Commuter Rail Road and was a member of the BMW Labor Union and a friend of Bill W. for 42 years.Surviving members of the family include: his wife, Dianne (Bedard) Flaherty of Rochester, NH, one son, Shawn Flaherty and his girlfriend, Thuy Truong of Manchester, NH, one daughter, Colleen Fleming and her husband Hal Solberg and granddaughter Sommerset Fleming of Panama City, FL, two brothers, Paul Leduc and Norman Leduc, one sister, Pauline Verrier and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Calling hours will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, NH on Saturday, 10/31/2015, from 8:30 to 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday following the calling hours at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church, 71 Lowell Street, Rochester, NH, followed with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester, NH.
