Michael's Obituary
Michael Hammond, age 75 of Apex, NC and formerly of Fairmont, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Michael was born July 25, 1950 in Robeson County to the late James “Jim” Hammond and the late Sara Hunt Hammond.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shannon Hammond.
He leaves to cherish his memories his four children, Michelle Faile (Frankie) Michael Anthony Locklear, Tina Hammond-Mills (Kevin), and Jodi Hammond; four brothers, James Danny Hammond (Cathy), Jack Hammond, Anthony Hammond and Jamie Hal Guest (Angie); three sisters, Maxine Hammond, Marlene Parsons (Dean), and Lisa Simmons; nine grandchildren, Mallery, Christian, Chance, Kylie, Bryson, Loga, Preston, Emma and Ella; three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 12noon-1:00PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 427 Gaddy Road, Fairmont. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00PM.
The interment will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
