Michael E.Kirk, 96, of St. Clairsville, died Friday, March 14, 2025, in WVU Wheeling Hospital.
Michael was a member of the United Methodist Church in Holloway and was a graduate of Holloway High School. Michael was retired from CSX Railroad also of Holloway.
He was a U.S. Army paratrooper.
He was born in New Jersey, June 14, 1928, a son of the late Michael and Evangela Kourkounakis. Preceding him in death, in addition to
parents, was his son Louis Simpson and a brother, George Kourkounakis. Surviving are his wife, Delores Garrett Kirk; four sons, Dennis
Simpson of North Carolina, Donald Simpson (Jennifer) of Holloway, Alan Simpson (Marsha) of Florida, Michael (Linda) Kirk of Ohio; one
one daughter, Carla Nehls of Florida; a sister, Mary Stergio, of Ohio, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 gr.gr. grandchild.
There will be no visitation. Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
